Help categorize the TRS-80 software archive

Nearly 30,000 programs, and almost none of them say what kind of program they are. Mark whatever you recognize. Pick as many words as fit — a game that teaches arithmetic is Game, Math, Education — then send the page. Everything is reviewed by hand before it goes anywhere near the archive, so a best guess is worth more than a blank.

Important Note: Do not do multiple entries of the same program. If you flag Super Nova by Big Five once, all Super Nova by Big Five entries will get updated. No need to waste your time flagging each Super Nova

Hundreds of calculations and ratios that you define can be sorted, averaged or totalled, and displayed on video screen or optional printer. PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Now you can effectively evaluate and manage your own stock portfolio of up to 100 securities with as many as 30 transactions for each. You can record 'buy' and 'sell' transactions, price and dividend information and stock splits for instant retrieval, for record keeping and tax purposes. You can measure actual performance or create hypothetical situations to help you make 'buy' or 'sell' decisions. HOW TO ORDER STOCKPAK STOCKPAK is designed exclusively for TRS-80 users with 32K business systems with two mini-disk drives. You can obtain the basic software and sample Data Base, plus a comprehensive User's Manual from your local Radio Shack Store for only $49.95. S-KEY by Edwin Paay $15.95 plus 50c. p&p S-KEY is a complete keyboard driver routine for the TRS-80 and becomes part of the Level II basic interpreter. With S-KEY loaded the user will have many new features not available with the standard machine. S-KEY features: . S-KEY provides an auto-repeat for all the keys on the keyboard. If any key is held down longer than about half a second, the key will repeat until it is released. Graphic symbols can be typed direct from the keyboard, this includes all 64 graphic symbols available from the TRS-80/SYSTEM 80. S-KEY allows text, BASIC commands and/or graphics to be defined to shifted keys. This makes programming much easier as whole commands and statements can be recalled by typing shift and a letter key. Because S-KEY allows graphics to be typed directly from the keyboard, animation and fast graphics are easily implemented by typing the appropriate graphics symbols directly into PRINT statements. S-KEY allows the user to LIST a program with PRINT statements containing graphics, properly. S-KEY does this by intercepting the LIST routine when necessary. S-KEY allows the user to list an updated list of the shift key entries to the video display or line printer. S-KEY can be disabled and enabled when required. This allows other routines which take control of the keyboard to run with S-KEY as well. Each cassette has TRS-80, DISK and SYSTEM 80 versions and comes with comprehensive documentation.

MRAS Relocatable Macro Assembler This is an advanced Z-80 assembly package for the programmer who wants a powerful and flexible development system. It includes a macro assembler which generates either relocatable object code modules or CMD files directly (MRAS), a relocatable module linker (MLINK), a relocatable module librarian (MLIB), a full-screen text editor (SAID), a utility for converting to/from line-numbered files (FIXUP), and a cross reference tool for directly generated CMD files (XREF). MRAS generates Microsoft M-80 compatible /REL files while it supports 16-bit externs. Powerful macro support includes REPT, IRP, and IRPC as well as standard macro parameters by both keyword and position. It supports nested includes and gets and a full range of nested conditionals: ELSE, ENDIF, IF, IFn, IFABS, IFDEF, IFEQ, IFEXT, IFLT, IFGT, IFNDEF, IFNEXT, IFNE, IFREF, IFREL. Relocatable segments include ASEG, CSEG, DESG and COMMONs. MRAS incorporates a fast binary-searched symbol table and the ability to enter symbol values from the command line. Labels can be any length with 15-character significance. It has flexible output redirection of listing and symbol table. MRAS supports .REQ for automatic library search by the linker. MLINK supports virtual memory bit-stream buffering so you can link a program too large to fit in available memory, REL and IRL (indexed) library searching, direct generation of complex program overlays, and does not generate disk space for DEFS regions in DSEGs and COMMONs. You get provisions for switching the link address, or the origin of each segment type to enable ROMable file generation. The linker can generate either a normal executable command file (CMD) or a core image file (CIM). Runs from JCL, too. MLINK supports the following special link items: 0-3, 5-7, 9-11, 13-15. MLIB maintains relocatable module libraries. It supports both Microsoft relocatable (REL) libraries and Digital Research indexed relocatable (IRL) libraries. MLIB is menu driven for ease of use. With it you can add, delete, extract, or replace a module. You can get a brief or detailed module map which lists all entries, externs, and commons; defines which segment they're in, and specifies the module size, program size, and data size. You can invoke a DOS command from the linker. MLIB runs from JCL, too. SAID is an advanced full screen text editor using 'word-processing' type editing. SAID's command keys can be customized by you with the installation program provided. It can be used to generate your assembler source code, C-language source code, or edit any type of ASCII file. Model 4 128K operation provides multiple editing buffers. FIXUP can be used to convert files generated with other assemblers to and from an ASCII format. This means you can use your existing assembler source files with our full screen text editor. A cross reference listing of a direct generated program is performed by XREF. It produces a listing identifying all defined labels, the line number containing the definition, its value, and the file name of the source file containing the definition. For each defined label, all references to the label are listed by line number and source file containing the reference. Ordering Information: For use under TRSDOS 6.x => PRO-MRAS #M-21-083 : For LDOS 5.x, TRSDOS 1.3/2.3 => MRAS #M20-083

Sched:PlannerMISSING

Key-1 Computer Systems

Employee Scheduling Software Sched:Planner is a Model III program that automates the process of creating and assigning weekly work schedules for large organizations. It also provides 'what-if' analysis and forecasts alternate schedules, and can be used without computer experience. The program handles up to 1,800 employees and up to nine separate schedules. Updating a weekly schedule for a worker takes less than a minute, with arrow keys and arcade-style graphics eliminating most typing. A composite schedule, automatically printed for each day of the week, displays a time line for each employee, showing when and at what assignment he or she will work. Sched:Planner costs $750: Sentry, a high-security version designed for applications such as guard-force scheduling, is $850. For more information, contact Key-1 Computer Systems, 178 Spring St., Newport, RI 02840, 401-849-4053.
