For each rock you destroy your point tally increases by 50 points. An unspecified alien civilisation is intent on making life as difficult as possible for you by attempting at every opportunity to scatter your atoms amongst the lunar dust. You will find yourself undergoing repeated aerial attacks from Mashers, Veevols, Dumons and Holics. These aliens will drop bombs which can be difficult to align. The Holics also like to drop the occasional 'Cratic' (crater forming) bomb. Not content to attack you from the air, the aliens are also tactical wizards at ground warfare. Strategically placed tanks will greet you with a round of good cheer in the form of laser blasts whenever you encroach on their territory. You are capable of firing upwards and forwards. These daring young aliens in their hovering 'Hoverhoons' have discovered that the best method of attacking is to come at you from the undefended rear. The bottom of your craft is just strong enough to survive the impact of landing on a 'Hoverhoon', but you will have to time it just right. The bottom of the craft is not strong enough to withstand the impact of a crash into a crater or tank. You have a supply of four Scout Craft to see you through. The 'Up Arrow' fires two missiles upwards and one forward. The 'Spacebar' ignites the jump jets under the Scout Craft and enables you to jump over craters and tanks. 'Moon Scout' is one of the best games I have seen for the TRS-80. 'Moon Scout' scores very highly for sheer playability. The program is an excellent effort by Richard Lindley.

Essentially, the program is a morse code generator or decoder with input and output in English.
