LDOS Users! A special utility package just for YOU: DRIVE-5 Four drives not enough? DRIVE-5 is a memory based disk emulator which allows you to configure a fifth drive IN MEMORY! No moving parts, so access is FAST! In a two drive system, FORMAT and BACKUP can be placed on DRIVE-5 (with /SYS modules) to allow multiple backups with less disk swapping. LOWDUMP LOWDUMP allows you to DUMP files from anywhere in memory, including ROM and video RAM! LOWDUMP allows all parameters as the LDOS DUMP command, including ASCII, for dumping files without loader information present. SYSGEN SYSGEN/CMD allows you to save one or more SYSGEN files as normal /CMD files. Keep several configurations on the same disk and reload as necessary by simply typing the filename. Especially useful when the preferred configuration consumes so much memory that large programs will not execute properly. SYSGEN/CMD may also be executed from a running BASIC program. When the resultant /CMD file is executed, the BASIC program will continue with the next statement, all program variables intact! UNREPAIR Model I TRSDOS cannot read LDOS disks due to the F8 DAM used for directory sectors. UNREPAIR will rewrite the directory track of a single density disk using the FA DAM that will be recognized by Model I TRSDOS. UNREPAIR should run with any Model I DOS and the Radio Shack E/I. LP-Disk [Linear Programming]MISSING
Linear Programming LP-Disk solves any linear programming problem with up to 50 variables and 50 constraints (maximize, minimize, less than, greater than, or equal to). The simplex algorithm is in machine language for fast calculation. The program supports full disk I/O features including save the problem on disk, change the problem data and save the last tableau on disk. It offers optional printing of the problem data and the tableaus. All printed output is in a readable format. The solution includes sensitivity analysis (price ranges and shadow prices) and maximum error of solution. LP-Disk runs on any microcomputer with CP/M, one disk drive and 48K of memory, or the Models I and III with one disk drive and 32K memory. 'LPSPOOL' LINE PRINTER SPOOLER for the TRS-80 Model I LPSPOOL is a facility which permits concurrent printing and processing. The significant features of LPSPOOL include the following: . Computer 'throughput' is increased by allowing printing to be done while the computer is used for other purposes. Multiple copies of output may be produced automatically, without user program changes. Output may be held until a more convenient time for printing, or deleted if not required. Output may be temporarily stopped, resumed or restarted at any time if printer or paper problems are encountered. Supports parallel or serial printers. Print output is written (spooled) to disk automatically by LPSPOOL, which subsequently prints (despools) the information. All these features are available without changes to a user's program. LPSPOOL includes a 'multi-tasking' monitor which automatically keeps the printer busy (foreground task), while at the same time allows the users program to run (background task). LPSPOOL, acts like an extension to the lineprinter driver. When LPSPOOL is active, print data is directed to spool disk files. As print files are created, their names are inserted in a spool queue. The foreground despooler, also working from a queue, looks for active entries ready for printing. The spool and despool queue may be the same to provide automatic printing as spool files are generated. A set of LPSPOOL commands is provided to control the spool and despool activity. These commands may be entered by the user with the SPOOL library command or by BASIC with the LPRINT command. The LPRINT may be used in an application program or by the user in BASIC direct execution (keyboard) mode. Assembly language programs may also invoke these commands by calls to the line printer driver. An on-line display facility provides a dynamic status display of the LPSPOOL system. LPSPOOL may be used to significantly increase the 'throughput' of the TRS-80. It can be used to save print information in disk files for subsequent and repeated use. This allows multiple copies of output without the necessity of re-running the application programs which generated them. Further, a despool queue can be established which allows unattended operation for long print jobs. Each queue entry allows the specification of spool filename, number of copies, form type, whether the file is to be printed immediately, and whether the queue entry and/or file is to be deleted after printing. Box 23956/Milwaukee, WI 53223/(414) 355-5454 1984 The LSI Help System allows the user to get help regarding the operating system or BASIC easily at DOS Ready, or from inside of most programs. The base HELP system (LDOS HELP) includes three HELP programs, and two different HELP data files. The data files are: LDOS HELP, covering the operating system itself, and BASIC HELP, covering the BASIC supplied with the operating system. Getting help is as easy as typing HELP LDOS SYSTEM [enter]. Help information will now be displayed for the SYSTEM command. HELP will automatically pause between screens until told to continue. The help information may also be sent continuously to the printer. By using one of the two resident HELP programs supplied, help may be requested from inside most programs by pressing the key combination [clear][shift][H]. At this point, the keyword you desire information about may be entered. In addition to user information regarding the operating system, technical help regarding the operating system and Z-80 assembly language programming can be obtained by purchasing the TECHNICAL HELP package. Other than the subject matter, the functions of HELP remain the same. The last element of the HELP system is the HELP Generator. With this package, anyone can produce extra help files that can be used in conjunction with the other two HELP packages. A text editor is required but not included, LED or LSCRIPT (LDOS patched SCRIPSIT) is recommended. For special customization needs, HELP TEXT Source is available. This package contains the text files that were used to produce the data files supplied with the HELP and TECHNICAL HELP systems, and is to be used with the HELP Generator. The LDOS Help package includes a twenty panel, four-color quick reference card for LDOS 5.1 that is also available separately as L-40-060.
