Help categorize the TRS-80 software archive

Nearly 30,000 programs, and almost none of them say what kind of program they are. Mark whatever you recognize. Pick as many words as fit — a game that teaches arithmetic is Game, Math, Education — then send the page. Everything is reviewed by hand before it goes anywhere near the archive, so a best guess is worth more than a blank.

Important Note: Do not do multiple entries of the same program. If you flag Super Nova by Big Five once, all Super Nova by Big Five entries will get updated. No need to waste your time flagging each Super Nova

GRAPHICS MASTER Have you ever seen Leo Christopherson's bee wary or snake eggs, and wished you had the time or skill to do that type of graphics work. Well with Graphics Master you can! Graphics Master is a disk oriented graphics generator which will allow you to create graphics and alphanumeric screen pages and use them as part of a basic program. This gives you very fast printing of full screen graphic displays, as well as rapid editing without the use of printed graphics charts. The screen pages are stored on disk as an ASCII program file with line numbers, variable name, and subscript ranges assigned by you. These programs may be merged together, and the results are great. While in any of the modes you have full cursor control to go in any direction. The price of GRAPHICS MASTER is only $19.95. For what this program does you'd really expect to pay more.

Stanton+Sons

Graphics Master Graphics Master offers Level II Basic users an efficient way of adding graphics to their programs. It features an etch-a-sketch routine to create designs of any size, a conversion routine that stores up to 32 different designs in Basic REM lines, and a 900-byte machine-language routine that displays the designs at high speed. Designs and their display routine can easily be appended to any Basic program. Moving or animated designs can overlap or cross each other; artistic choices include optional wraparound and black/white or left/right reversal. The program runs on the Level II Model I with 16K or more memory. With demo program and manual included, price is $24.95 from Stanton & Sons, 1130 20th Ave. East, Seattle, WA 98112, 206-324-1512.

GraphingMISSING

Opportunities For Learning Catalog

GRAPHING This set of two programs is designed to teach graphing concepts to junior and senior high school students. The first program introduces the coordinate plane, X and Y axes, origin, and ordered pairs; random points are displayed on the plane and the student inputs the correct X and Y coordinates for each. The second program gives further practice on plotting points on the plane, with the student marking the point on the screen which satisfies the ordered pair specified by the computer. Incorrect answers prompt an explanation of how to arrive at the correct solution. Available on disk for the Apple II with 48K and the TRS-80 with 32K (back-ups included); and on cassette for the Pet with 8K and the TRS-80 with 16K. 3K-130TC Graphing (TRS, cassette) $39.95 3K-130TD Graphing (TRS, disk) New $49.95

grbasc2s.zip

GRBASIC GRBASIC extends Level II or DISK BASIC to include an easy to use graphics command set. A single BASIC command allows the user to draw a line between any two pixels on the screen in hundredths of a second! Coordinates can be chained to allow complex figures to be drawn by a single BASIC program line in less than a second! GRBASIC allows the definition of shapes. Once defined, a shape can be rotated, scaled up or down in size, drawn anywhere on the screen in less than a second, and can even be drawn totally or partially 'off' the screen in extended space! And all with short, simple BASIC commands! Even multiple shapes are no problem! GRBASIC is not a string-packer or machine-language USR-called utility. GRBASIC is fully integrated into Level II and DISK BASIC. There is nothing on the market that offers its graphic features, except possibly the Apple II computer! Animation, scientific plotting, and professional data displays are now child's play! A new program, GRBASIC FUNCTION PLOTTER, allows the plotting of almost any function, including polar coordinate based figures and almost any wave form. Features include function definition and automatic screen scaling. REQUIRES GRBASIC! GRBASIC cassette $19.95 GRBASIC TRS-DOS disk $24.95 GRBASIC NEWDOS80 disk $24.95 GRBASIC FUNCTION PLOTTER $14.95 Examples of graphics produced with GRBASIC

GRBASIC: GRAPHICS ENHANCEMENT PACKAGE GRBASIC 3.0 adds a set of fundamental graphics commands to BASIC which allow the user to perform very sophisticated graphic manipulations without having to resort to USR calls or a string packing technique. Even so, the speed with which GRBASIC operates is comparable to machine language speed (i.e., instantaneous). The commands fall into four classes, as follows: Line drawing, Circle drawing, Shape drawing, and Sound Generation. GRBASIC allows you to store all graphics on disk or tape, or as DEFB statements. Graphics can also be stored into strings dynamically. Also generates sound! Disk version, just $24.95. Supplied on Model I disk, converts to Model III.

Greyhoud Racing AnalysisMISSING

Software Exchange

Dog Days Software Exchange offers two greyhound racing analysis packages for the Models III, 4, 100/200, or IBM PC-compatibles that base predictions on past performance. The Greyhound Racing Analysis Program ($29.95) lets you input the most important data from the racing program (available at the track). Racing Analysis evaluates all the dogs in a race with a rating number after only five minutes of data entry. Enhanced Greyhound Racing Analysis ($49.95) is an improved version of the original program. It analyzes 12 data items for a more detailed evaluation of each dog, including track length (distance), track length (last race), post position, odds, times, positions in the stretch, and finish positions. The computer calculates and displays the ratings on screen or paper. Both programs include a Bet Return Analysis program, which tracks wins and losses. It also gives you the percent gain, if any, for the number of races you bet on. For more information, contact Software Exchange, 2681 Peterboro Road, P.O. Box 5382, W. Bloomfield, MI 48033, 313-626-7208.
