Depreciation Analysis Realty Software's enhanced version of the disk based Depreciation Analysis now includes an Accelerated Recovery System (ACRS). It will handle 3, 5, 10 and 15 year ACRS property types and compare the ACRS deductions to the alternative straight line depreciation. The printed output shows each year's deduction for the ACRS method and the straight line method with the accumulated totals from previous years for each method. This allows a complete analysis of both choices. Priced at $75, this system is available for 48K Model I and IIIs from Realty Software Company, 1116 E 8th St., Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, (213) 372-9419.

Descriptive Statistics Descriptive Statistics computes the mean, standard deviation, standard error of estimate, variance, skewness, kurtosis, range, median, and quartiles for a variable and constructs a histogram for each value. DESCRIPTIVE STATISTICS - MADE EASY Many statistic programs suffer from being over complex. One of the chief advantages of this one is that it is extremely easy to use. It is effectively a composite program being made up of three parts. The first calculates an extensive range of descriptive statistics. The second illustrates a sample distribution with Histograms and a table of Centiles. The third creates a cassette data file of the univariate data. The program is designed to be used by those with no experience in computing and also all non-statisticians. Prompts and instructions are included throughout the program. Input to the program may be entered in three ways: from the keyboard, as data statements or from the cassette data file created by the program. After the data has been input in one of these ways the Descriptive Statistics section of the program will calculate the following: Sample Mean Skewness Variance (unbiased) --- --- --- Standard Deviation (unbiased) Minimum value Variance (biased) Standard Deviation (biased) Sum X Kurtosis Standard error Number of values Maximum value Sum X Squared The second part of the program is the Centiles (some people call them Percentiles) and Histogram section. The program has been written to allow the distribution of the values at high and how resolution to check if the data appears normally distributed. For non-normal data a sample distribution can be analysed without assumptions of normality by generating a tables of Centiles. The confidence limits of the Centiles are also calculated. So far as is known it is the only commercially available program which calculates Centiles and their confidence limits. Hence this section of the program calculates the Centiles of a sample and 95% confidence limits of the Centiles. The sample distribution is illustrated with a Histogram with 50 groups, a Histogram with 10 groups and cumulative frequency (%) distribution. The final section of the program enables the user to create a permanent data file on cassette and six options are available therewith, namely to create a data file, to check it, to change an entry on the data file, to delete an entry, to extend the data file and, finally, to copy it. The programs have been written so as to accommodate virtually unlimited sample size, although, of course, in practice the size of the data file will be restricted to a practical size of cassette. The CodeWorks - DESCRIPTIVE STATISTICS for one sample - by Philip Clark. DSTAT.BAS computes descriptive statistics for a single sample. You may load data from the diskette and enter more values manually. When processing the data, you are informed what statistics are being calculated. You may recalculate statistics at any time since intermediate values are zeroed each time through. The program defines functions for population variance and sample variance.

Advanced Statistics CS-3303 Cassette (16K) $24.95 CS-3505 Disk (32K) $24.95 This package may be the ultimate in statistical applications for the TRS-80. Advanced Statistics will provide you with the ability to perform statistical tests never before available on small computers. Its cassette based data file system allows you to store, retrieve and transform data files for use in several different tests. File Manager File Manager, the heart of the statistical file management, allows you to create, edit, and transform data files. Unique to this program are features that allow the user to perform transformations on variables, extract and create subfiles, and selectively copy records. Up to twenty variables and an unlimited number of cases can be processed. Descriptive Statistics Descriptive Statistics computes the mean, standard deviation, standard error of estimate, variance, skewness, kurtosis, range, median, and quartiles for a variable and constructs a histogram for each value. A test scoring option for conversion of raw scores into percentiles is included. Two Variable Statistics This program calculates descriptive statistics for each variable. It performs a t-test for the difference of means, computing the product-moment correlation coefficient and its associated significance level. In addition, it performs linear regression and computes standard error of estimate for Y. Crosstabulation This program constructs contingency tables for displaying frequencies, column percentages and table-wide percentages for each cell. It computes the Chi-square, the level of significance and gamma statistics. Tables as large as 10x10 may be evaluated. Regression-Trend Analysis This program computes least-squares regression coefficients from time-series or paired data for best-fit equations (linear, parabolic, hyperbolic, logarithmic, power, exponential and cubic types). Calculates standard error of estimate for each equation and more. Multiple Linear Regression Performs multiple linear regression using up to ten independent variables. The program computes both unstandardized and normalized coefficients, covariance, multiple correlation coefficient, and the standard error of estimate. Correlation Analysis Computes product-moment correlation matrices, multiple correlation coefficients and partial correlation coefficients with their associated significance levels. Analysis of Variance This program performs one-way and two-way analysis of variance for a maximum of ten groups in each control variable. Statistics include the mean and standard deviation for each group, sum of the squares, degrees of freedom, mean square, F-ratios, and significance level.
