Super Operating Systems PENDOS and DOSMOD are TRSDOS 2.3 operating system enhancement programs. These programs virtually eliminate typing when working in the DOS environment. With these programs, you can copy, kill, list or print any non-passworded file in your system without typing a single command or filespec. However, you must type passwords to access passworded files. With PENDOS you select the desired DOS commands or filespecs with a light pen by touching the spot of light on the display corresponding to the function desired. With DOSMOD you select the commands or filespecs by positioning a blinking cursor adjacent to the desired function and pressing the Enter key. These programs were designed as new overlays to DOS as opposed to high memory resident routines. This avoids unwanted interaction with other programs. These programs will not conflict with any other programs that start at 5200H or higher. They will work with all memory sizes of TRS-80s. These programs are available from Clockwork Software, P.O. Box 704, Colorado Springs, CO 80901, for $25 shipping and handling included. The light pen required for operation of PENDOS is also available for $25.

FOR THE SERIOUS DISK SYSTEM USER - DISK OPERATING SYSTEM SORT MERGE 'DOSORT' SORT/MERGE multi-diskette sequential files. DOSORT utilizes a control program written in BASIC with very efficient machine language routines for the time-critical tasks of sorting and data comparisons. An extended GSF is included which is used as an interface between the BASIC and machine language programs. The resulting system is both a versatile and effective sort merge package for the TRS-80 system. DOSORT can process data files that are read or written using standard TRS-80 input/output commands. DOSORT sorts input files according to user specified sequences utilizing multiple ascending or descending sort keys. User exits are provided during initial input and final output processing allowing specialized processing. TWO MODES of sort variable specification may be used - multi-mixed-array mode and character string mode. MULTI-VOLUME (diskette) files may be sorted or merged on a minimum two-disk 32K system. System performance is improved with a 48K or three- or four-disk system. PRESORTED files may be included in a given sort/merge application. Data files may be spread over several diskettes. DOSORT is self-instructing - supported by comprehensive user documentation. Specification of sort parameters has been designed to be easy - even for the inexperienced user. ORDER 32 OR 48K VERSION OF DOSORT MOD I $35.00; MOD III $45.00<br><br>Sourcebook:<br>Sequential file disk sort/merge. Includes gsf. MODEL III FOR $175.00 Yes, double density is here! Two 40 track drives give you 368K of storage. And if thats not enough, four 80 track drives will give you 1.4 megabytes of on line storage. All this with the added speed of double density operation, not to mention 80% more storage per diskette. No loss of your software library or conversion of your single density diskettes is necessary. DOSPLUS 3.3D reacts to the diskette. It will read single or double density with equal ease. It is not JUST a double density operating system, it is a double AND single density system. It is the first of it's kind. No one can offer you what we can! To change a disk to double density you need only format a double density disk, and then ONE command (TRANSFER), will bring over all your files. Very simple to use, but not necessary, because DOSPLUS will read them as they are now. Just insert single density diskettes and run (with our operating system). The machine will know what you are doing without having to be told ANYTHING! If you want your computer to chain functions, then you need DOSPLUS 3.3D (for example, from powerup you could have your machine call another computer, scan a data base for appointments, recording any that appear on your printer; and then load in our new BASIC, setting files and mem/size, and start your program so your secretary can go right to work). With our BUILD, DO and AUTO, all of the preceding would be child's play. By the way, you could have also set the time and date, looked at the directory of all your drives as well as checked the free space map (which tells you not only how much space you have on a diskette, but also where it is and what it is used for) DOSPLUS is a truly intelligent, easy to use operating system that gives you all your computer is capable of delivering. You probably guessed that for $175.00 what we are doing is turning your Model I into a Model III. It's so easy anyone can do it in 10 minutes! Why spend $2,500.00 for a Model III when you can get the same computing power, with our kit, and NO SOFTWARE CONVERSION, for only $175.00. Don't throw away your Model I, let us expand it! Move up to the world of double density. You will reap the benefits of our error-free software. No miracles, just plain hard work and a lot of testing by experts and novices alike. Test us and judge yourself. We guarantee you will be 100% satisfied. If you are the first to find a legitimate 'BUG' in our software you will be rewarded with a brand new $100 dollar bill. Your systems disk will come complete with an all new single/double density disk editor called DISK2AP, and a BASIC program compressor called CRUNCH. Also included is PURGE, a utility to make the mass removal of unwanted files from a diskette easy, and RESTORE, a program that makes recovering a dead file as easy as typing in a command line. TRANSFER is just as it sounds, a program that moves all files (except systems) from one diskette to another. Single density to double or vice versa. CLEARANCE is used to zero data files on a diskette for a 'clean slate'. DISKDUMP is a new machine language sector display/modify program that works with filespecs instead of tracks and sectors. Used in conjunction with DISK2AP, you will have more disk editing power than ever before, with less frustration than was ever thought possible. You will now be able to use all your DOS commands from our new BASIC with the CMD feature. And how about variable length records that really work, first time, EVERY time! This will allow you to use the ISAM programming technique for vastly improved handling of large data bases and lightning speed unheard of in BASIC. (ISAM stands for Indexed Sequential Access Method). You can create programs that will run on MOD III DOSPLUS, yes, 100% compatibility. If inflated computing power without an inflated price tag is what you're after, contact us at the address below. Circle 91 on Reader Service card. These were printed by DOTWRITER on an Epson MX-80. See What You Can Do With DOTWRITER 4.0! Now available for the Model 4, too! DOTWRITER lets you create spectacular, eye-catching letterheads, catalogs, invitations, or even books. It is just what you need to turn your dot-matrix printer into a versatile typesetting machine. And it's available for the Model 4 (yes, in native mode) as well as for the Models I and III. What is DOTWRITER? DOTWRITER uses the 'bit-image graphics' of your printer to produce the kinds of stunning results shown inside the box. It is a full-function text printing program, so you can inter-mix different character sets, do centering, paragraphs, pagination, magnification, draw horizontal and vertical lines, reversals (white on black), and even print right-justified proportional text. DOTWRITER includes the printing program, complete documentation, and fourteen useful sets of typefaces (60 to 90 characters in each set). We will include the 160 page Letterset Reference Summary at half-price ($10.00) with your order. To use DOTWRITER, just write your text with any popular TRS-80 Word Processor, add the necessary format- ting commands, and DOTWRITER will do the rest. 35 more disks are available separately. Each has 3-12 complete typefaces (60-95 characters in each set). These disks cost less than $25 each, and may be purchased at any time. If you want to create your own logos, modify our typefaces, or even design entirely new typefaces, then you will also want to order the 'Letterset Design System' (LDS). We offer LDS at half-price when you order it along with DOTWRITER. LDS operates in Model III mode on the Model 4. Versions are available for Epson MX-80 with Graftrax, MX-100 with Graftrax-Plus, RX-80, FX-80, C. ITCH 8510/1550, Microline 64/92/93; Radio Shack's DMP series 200-2100, CGP-220 & Gemini 10X, 15X. Please specify printer and computer! Our print samples were done on an Epson. Sizes vary on other printers. Some of the samples shown here are taken from the additional Letterset disks. Two disk drives and at least 48K of memory are required. LDS is not available in native Model 4 mode. Send for free print samples! We've only shown you a few of the 230 DOTWRITER fonts. If you want the best in graphics printing, we suggest you order DOTWRITER today, toll-free. Please specify printer and computer when ordering.
