Help categorize the TRS-80 software archive

Nearly 30,000 programs, and almost none of them say what kind of program they are. Mark whatever you recognize. Pick as many words as fit — a game that teaches arithmetic is Game, Math, Education — then send the page. Everything is reviewed by hand before it goes anywhere near the archive, so a best guess is worth more than a blank.

Important Note: Do not do multiple entries of the same program. If you flag Super Nova by Big Five once, all Super Nova by Big Five entries will get updated. No need to waste your time flagging each Super Nova

Built for Speed Four software packages that provide speed-up routines for Basic and extra features for your Model I/III/4 disk system are available from The Software Factory. AutoPaws ($14.95) prevents data from scrolling off the screen. Press the enter key to clear the screen and continue the scroll, or press the spacebar to scroll one line at a time. You can install the software in a build file. The Fast4 package ($14.95) operates your Model III software on the Model 4 at full speed. Unlike POKE commands, Fast4 maintains clock accuracy and doesn't affect character width or special characters. It includes an option to switch between two display pages. UtiliPak ($24.95) is a baker's dozen of assorted utilities including input/output filters, command files, and machine-language speed-up routines. MenuGen ($54.95) is a multiple-DOS, menu-generating system for the Model III with a graphics editor and Basic speed-up routine. It lets you integrate applications programs from different sources into a single menu-driven system. For more information, write The Software Factory, 12101 N. Western View, Oklahoma City, OK 73132, CompuServe I.D. number 73105,1650. Add $3 per order for postage and handling.

AutoRef [Reference List Compiler]MISSING

Scilab Inc

Author's Helper Autoref ($89.95) compiles reference lists of citations made in manuscripts. It works with most word processors and runs on MS-DOS, CP/M-80, and CP/M-86 computers and on the Models I, II, III, 4, 12, and 16. Autoref automatically finds author citations (in name/date format) in text and alphabetizes them. Then it retrieves a complete reference from a master reference file and builds the document's bibliography. You can create and maintain the master file with Autoref, a word processor, or a data base manager like dBase II or III. For more information, contact Scilab Inc., P.O. Box 614, Guilderland, NY 12084, 518-355-3363.
