Help categorize the TRS-80 software archive

Nearly 30,000 programs, and almost none of them say what kind of program they are. Mark whatever you recognize. Pick as many words as fit — a game that teaches arithmetic is Game, Math, Education — then send the page. Everything is reviewed by hand before it goes anywhere near the archive, so a best guess is worth more than a blank.

Important Note: Do not do multiple entries of the same program. If you flag Super Nova by Big Five once, all Super Nova by Big Five entries will get updated. No need to waste your time flagging each Super Nova

Yi ChingMISSING

Molimerx Ltd

M13

YI CHING - ANSWERS TO DAILY LIFE YI-CHING is in function somewhat similar to Tarot card reading. It is extremely ancient and according to the author easily predates Confucius. The function of Yi-Ching is that the seekers of knowledge may ask any question that he or she desires. In the Chinese traditional method, bamboo sticks are used in order to obtain a hexagram and this is still considered to be the 'proper' way to do it. An additional method is to use coins, each representing a two or a three. Three coins are cast and the side which are uppermost are totalled. Although the bamboo sticks are traditional, there is no reason why the hexagram should be cast in different ways and particularly in this case by a computer. There are only four combinations of total possible, numbered from six to nine. The number six represents a moving YIN line, seven represents a moving YANG line. The YIN is a broken line whilst the YANG is the unbroken line. The program takes you through the Yi-Ching in a easily understood manner and it needs no experience or knowledge in order to follow it. The question is written in as precise manner as is possible using less than 32 letters. When the question is asked of the computer, the user should concentrate when asked to and repeat the question over to himself. The answers are traditional and use such phrases as 'to cross the great stream' which would indicate a forward action no matter what hazards are met. The meaning of the answers have been deliberately chosen to be traditional and are entirely interpretative. Memory Requirement 16k TRS-80 Tape Model 1 & 3 11-2613

Bluebirds Inc

yourbiob.zip

Get into the Swing The CBIO System ($155) biorhythm profile program for the Models III (48K) and 4 (64K) lets you predict people's good and bad days according to physiological indicators and intellectual acuity. The program contains 20 menu-driven modules that use data input screens. The modules process orders; generate reports, invoices, and labels; provide on-line information, record a client's history; and let you develop a customized biorhythm. The report generator produces a commercial-quality report with a choice of five covers, a preface, and an introduction describing biorhythms and the CBIO report. CBIO prints biorhythmic curves and a short analysis for each day, followed by a day-by-day interpretation for the month. CBIO processes up to 100 reports automatically. The program requires two disk drives. For more information, contact Bluebirds Computer Software, P.O. Box 339, Wyandotte, MI 48192, 313-285-4455.

Your Family Tree [Original]

Chuck Acree / Acorn Software Products

M1 · 1981 · DMK

yrfmtrca.zip

A comprehensive genealogical program that lets you avoid the rigidities of paper-based family trees. It quickly and easily sets up a data base to hold pertinent information about each ancestor, including name, date and place of birth, marriage and death information, plus a comment line. YOUR FAMILY TREE will display and print a complete 'pedigree' for any selected family member; or a 3-generation ancestral chart may be generated for display or printer, showing the number of known ancestors beyond each branch of the tree. As a novelty feature, the program will display a U.S. outline map showing migration across the country. Access to information in YOUR FAMILY TREE is virtually unlimited, with full search capabilities on any key field-using full or partial information. 16K RAM has space for 45-55 ancestors with brief comments. A 32K cassette-based system will hold about 175 records; a 48K, about 300. In all cases, a disk-based system will hold about 75 less due to DOS overheard. Available for TRS-80 models I and III on tape or disk, YOUR FAMILY TREE requires a minimum of 16K RAM. Enjoy the benefits of this powerful and flexible charting system now for just $29.95. The Disassembler This is a single-pass, hex-notation disassembler that will send its output either to tape or to a lineprinter (Radio Shack parallel port). The tape output is directly compatible with Tandy's ED-TASM. Thus, you can take an object code tape, disassemble and output it to tape, then use EDTASM to add, delete, change and even re-assemble your new version. In addition, it displays the displacement and absolute address of any relative jumps made by the disassembled program. It also displays any ASCII characters used in a LD or CP opcode. Sample output from the Disassembler BYTE MACHINE LINE MNEMONIC COMMENTS --- --- --- --- --- NUM. CODE NUM. Since the Disassembler works only on in-memory programs, it has been made relocatable so that you may move it around in memory to avoid conflict with the program you wish to disassemble. Since the Disassembler works only on in-memory programs, it has been made relocatable so that you may move it around in memory to avoid conflict with the program you wish to disassemble. As an added option, you may also jump to memory locations and transfer control between Disassembler and other utility programs in your computer. The Disassembler, use it to examine and analyze any machine-code program! Order No. 0232R $9.95 Instant Software PETERBOROUGH, N.H. 03458 603-924-7296
