Help categorize the TRS-80 software archive

Nearly 30,000 programs, and almost none of them say what kind of program they are. Mark whatever you recognize. Pick as many words as fit — a game that teaches arithmetic is Game, Math, Education — then send the page. Everything is reviewed by hand before it goes anywhere near the archive, so a best guess is worth more than a blank.

Important Note: Do not do multiple entries of the same program. If you flag Super Nova by Big Five once, all Super Nova by Big Five entries will get updated. No need to waste your time flagging each Super Nova

Trucker CS-3207 TRS-80 Cassette (32K) CS-3703 TRS-80 Disk (32K) $24.95 Trucker This program simulates coast-to-coast trips by an independent trucker hauling various cargos. The user may haul oranges, freight or U.S. mail. All have different risks and rewards. Maximum profit comes from prudent risk-taking. If all goes well, you can obey the speed limits, stop for eight hours of sleep each night and still meet the schedule. Bad weather, road construction or flat tires may put you behind schedule. You may try to increase your profit by skimping on sleep, driving fast or carrying an overweight load. Other factors are choice of routes, truck payments, fuel, food, tolls and fines. The simulation is engrossing and informative.

TSave

Southern Software

M1 · CAS

tsavesos.zip

SOUTHERN SOFTWARE Machine-Language Programs. All Southern Software machine-language programs are self-relocating. This means that you can load them at any chosen address in memory, in conjunction with other Southern Software programs, or with programs from other suppliers. If you upgrade your memory size, you can choose a new loading location. When you have relocated a program you can dump its core image on disk (with the DUMP command) or on tape, using Southern Software's TSAVE utility, It will then load directly into its final location, using LOAD (from disk) or the SYSTEM command (from tape). All programs will run in 4K (or more) unless otherwise stated. Name Price $ Size (bytes) Description --- --- --- --- TSAVE 9.95 512 Prepare System tapes (core image dump). TSAVE prepares system tapes. A tape produced by TSAVE will load as a core-image file directly into memory under the SYSTEM command. In particular you can take backup copies of machine-language programs, including automatic start address, and/or preprimed USR invocation address. TSAVE has the following important advantages: . A single tape file can be produced from multiple disjoint segments of memory. You can produce duplicate copies of the file, without rekeying the address ranges. You can verify the saved file to check for a good tape, without rekeying the ranges. You can opt to work with Decimal or Hexadecimal addresses.

Tuesday Morning Quarterback

Tuesday Morning Quarterback Now you can coach your own pro football team when you play Tuesday Morning Quarterback, the first of our EPYX Sports series. Once you've finished watching the big game on TV, you can take an active part in a game that has all the excitement-and frustration-of the real thing. You're the coach and captain, and the outcome of the game depends on whether you can outguess your computer opponent and call the best plays. Choose from 16 different offensive plays-7 running plays, 8 pass patterns-plus an option play. And there are 6 defensive options-96 possible combinations. But you've only got a few seconds in the huddle to make your decision! Tuesday Morning Quarterback is a game of both skill and strategy. But you don't need to be a football expert to play. A glossary of football terms and tips on strategy help the novice make decisions. You can even practice your kicking skills before the game starts. But after kick off, you'll fight for every yard-gaining momentum as you march forward-or losing confidence as you're pushed back. You'll see the progress of your half back as he dashes toward the goal line, watch as your quarterback completes a pass to your tight end, and cheer when your team scores a touchdown, a field goal, or intercepts a pass! But watch out for fumbles and penalties. Pit your favorite teams against each other. A special program lets you keep your team rosters up to date. Transfer players to other teams, make substitutions, or even create your own all-star team. You can even set your own time limit, so you can play for as little or as long as you like. With Tuesday Morning Quarterback, you call the shots-you make the decisions-and you make the difference in the race for the Super Bowl!

Sourcebook:
Test your football skill and strategy.
