SCREEN EDIT Written by Jack Decker Documentation by Jack Decker An 'oldie but goodie', Screen Edit gives you the ability to edit BASIC lines on the video display by LISTing the lines on the screen and then typing the command EDIT (without a line number or period following it). The EDIT still operates normally when typed with a line number or period following it. When Screen Edit is in use, a blinking cursor will be displayed and the four arrow keys move the blinking cursor wherever you wish on the screen. The shift-arrow keys are used for editing. The break key escapes from the editing process and will return to BASIC READY with no changes made to the program. The ENTER key is used to END editing by placing the cursor one space after the last character of the edited line. Screen Edit is useful for copying program lines to a new area and merging/editing existing lines. Screen Edit works with cassette or disk BASIC on the Model I or III, and sells for only $12.95 on a single density diskette.
