Help categorize the TRS-80 software archive
Nearly 30,000 programs, and almost none of them say what kind of program they are. Mark whatever you recognize. Pick as many words as fit — a game that teaches arithmetic is Game, Math, Education — then send the page. Everything is reviewed by hand before it goes anywhere near the archive, so a best guess is worth more than a blank.
Important Note: Do not do multiple entries of the same program. If you flag Super Nova by Big Five once, all Super Nova by Big Five entries will get updated. No need to waste your time flagging each Super Nova

Football Scouting ReportMISSING
Football Scouting Report (Disk only) $89.95 How many high schools and colleges are there within a 75 mile radius of you? Did you know that each is a potential customer at the rate of from $500-$1000 per season? Many already subscribe to more expensive (but inferior) computer analysis services of their scouting reports. Using such a service a coach will typically have an opponent scouted several times prior to actually playing them This series of programs was written to the specifications of a coach with two state championships to his credit. As a result, the emphasis is on producing statistics that will help in predicting what the opponent will do in a given situation This is a sophisticated set of programs fully equivalent to that used by professional football teams Hardware requirements 32K, 1 disk driver and printer. Forest Fire
frstfire.zip
Introducing T80-SG2 Forest Fire Dispatcher from SubLOGIC Forest Fire Dispatcher combines the complex challenge of a realistic simulation with the ease of operation necessary to allow you to concentrate all your energy and imagination on the job at hand. You are the forester in charge of a district in southeastern Kentucky. Your objective is to save the maximum possible acreage from fire at the least possible cost. Situation variables include the number of fires presently burning, acres already burned, acres threatened, fire spread rate, terrain difficulty, weather conditions, the number of men assigned to each fire, and the previous experience of your crew leader. T80-SG2 Forest Fire Dispatcher is available on cassette and disk. Both versions contain a 50 minute game. The disk version also includes a longer lasting pure simulation. Your situation can be saved to disk at any time. This allows you to build a history of yourself as a dispatcher and improve your performance record over the course of several fire seasons. T80-SG2 Forest Fire Dispatcher a naturally deep strategy game designed to provide you with years of pleasurable interaction. If you've never been into strategy games before, buy this one. $24.95 on cassette (16K required) $29.95 on disk (32K required) Specify Model I (Level 2 BASIC) or Model III TRS-80 See your dealer! Forest of MordorMISSING
FOREST OF MORDOR - WATCH THOSE DWARVES Although this program just sneaks into the maze category, it could be said to be a direct descendant of an Adventure game. The game is played on board which appears on you VDU. It is essentially an outlined square with various letters, numbers and graphic symbols randomly spread over it. The object of the exercise is to get from the starting point to the exit without being overcome by the many obstacles put in your way. These are Trolls, Dwarves, Orcs, Treorcs, Gormaz and, from time to time, Seredic the Magician. Treorcs are sleeping Orcs and do not move, but colliding with them will mean that you will be eaten. Mysterious forces do occasionally awaken them. Dwarves are slow moving, but extremely ferocious. Unfortunately they have rather one track minds because whenever they encounter each other they mate and produce the dreaded Orc. Trolls are rather like fast dwarves, but are constantly at war with the dwarves so they will destroy each other if they meet. Orcs are probably the biggest problem because they eat anything in their path and gain power thereby, hence they can move more and more quickly. The Men of Murduin are long time enemies of the Orcs and are constantly hunting them. If you are lucky, the odd Orc will be killed by the Mens' arrows. Seredic is a magician and when he appears you may optionally sample his powers. If you receive an Elf Clock you will become invisible for three moves. For instance, you can light flares from time to time which have the effect of stunning the creature temporarily and enabling you to move. The player is armed with some arrows which when shot will destroy the first thing they reach. Occasionally an army of Gormaz will pass through the forest and they destroy everything in their path. So, as you can see, the trip through the forest is one fraught with danger. The player starts out with 1000 points, each moves costs 5 and there are various other penalties. The game is, as we said at the beginning, made more interesting by the scenario which converts a moderately interesting maze game into a game which has considerable appeal. The program is compatible with Disk Basic. Memory Requirement 16k TRS-80 Tape Model 1 & 3 11-2303
