Nearly 30,000 programs, and almost none of them say what kind of program they are. Mark whatever you recognize. Pick as many words as fit — a game that teaches arithmetic is Game, Math, Education — then send the page. Everything is reviewed by hand before it goes anywhere near the archive, so a best guess is worth more than a blank.

Remote operation of a TRS-80 Model I or III from a terminal or a second TRS-80 through a telephone link -- files may be transferred with the unattended computer. Error free file transfers with another TRS-80 or a computer that can use the protocol of the CP/M program 'Modem' which is widely used on computer bulletin boards (and available on CP/M user group disk number 25). File transfers with many other types of computers with the TRS-80 acting as a terminal. One reason for this is that Modem-80 is capable of uploading and downloading files of unlimited length - you are not limited by the size of a 'capture buffer', as with most of the other currently-available terminal programs! Text files to be uploaded can be prepared off-line, thus reducing costly online time and permitting you to use your word processor to create your document. Such files can be easily retransmitted as often as necessary in case poor line conditions make transmission difficult. Both transmit and receive files may be opened before communication begins, may be run simultaneously, and can be turned on or off independently. Control codes can allow the distant computer to control file operations. Single lines may be transmitted from a file, intermixed with typing from the keyboard. Lines from a text file may be transmitted one at a time if the distant computer is unable to accept full speed transmission. DOS commands and programs that reside in the lower 16K of memory may be executed while maintaining positions in the transmit and receive files, with previous screen contents restored when the DOS command is completed. Modem80 permits flexible, error-free file transfers between TRS-80s, or between a TRS-80 and any other computer that can use the protocol of the CP/M program 'Modem' (available on CP/M user group disk #25).
