This darn adventure is more random than The Count. You can die at any moment because of a bear attack or a hurricane, and, to make matters worse, you cannot always save the game - which means you may wind up VERY far back again. Now I know why this is the adventure I never actually played on my TRS-80.
The best advice I can give is to save the game as often as possible (but not too often, as you may run out of daylight).
